RPA was requested by Chattanooga City Council to review the existing zoning and recommend to the City Council the appropriate zoning that would best implement and accommodate the goals recommended in the South Broad Street Redevelopment Plan.  The Comprehensive Planning Division conducted a zoning study and held a series of public meetings for the South Broad community. The study recommendations were heard at the Chattanooga-Hamilton County Regional Planning Commission on Monday, August 13, 2007 and recommended for approval. The zoning recommendations in the study were adopted by Chattanooga City Council on September 18, 2007.
