Shepherd Community Zoning StudyRPA was requested by Chattanooga City Council to review the existing zoning and recommend to the City Council the appropriate zoning that would best implement and accommodate the goals recommended in the Shepherd Community Land Use Plan. The Comprehensive Planning Division conducted a zoning study and held a series of public meetings for the Shepherd Community Recreation Center. The study recommendations were heard at the Chattanooga-Hamilton County Regional Planning Commission on Monday, November 12, 2007. The Chattanooga-Hamilton County Regional Planning Commission denied the recommendations outlined in the zoning study.
The
zoning recommendations in the study were adopted by ordinance number
12058 by Chattanooga City Council on December 18, 2007 to rezone certain
parcels from R-2 Residential to R-1 Residential.
