A zoning moratorium is in effect for portions of the North Shore as shown on the map above until April 30, 2008. 

The moratorium affects new rezoning requests that are in conflict with the recommendations of the North Shore Plan.

The moratorium is intended to help ensure that no conflict arises between new rezoning requests and the recommendations of the North Shore Zoning Study, which is being initiated to examine the expansion of the C-7 zone and the feasibility of bringing existing zones into conformance with the recommendations of the North Shore Plan.

Applicants wishing to apply for rezoning in the moratorium area should contact Regional Planning Agency staff to discuss their project.  Projects determined to not be in conflict with the recommendations of the North Shore Plan will be permitted to proceed with the rezoning approval process.
