Signal Mountain Study
The goal of the study was to explore the possibility of sewer development
and subsequent land development that meets the mission of the Town of
Signal Mountain. With the possibility of a sewer extension to the
Shackleford Ridge Rd. area, options for growth in that area were developed
and staff assisted with the codification of new zoning codes. This project
was completed in March, 2006.
South Broad Zoning Study
Miller Drive Zoning Study
As recommended in the
Brainerd Town Center Plan review and as requested by City Council, a
zoning study was conducted for Miller Drive. This roadway acts as a
thoroughfare from Spring Creek Rd. to Brainerd Town Center and neighboring
Wal-Mart commercial center. Increased traffic and lack of investment in
the existing residences led to a decline in the residential viability of
this area. A rezoning with conditions for properties on this street
provided alternatives for property owners and residents in this area.
Cannon Avenue Zoning Study
This study was requested by City Council on June 20, 2006 to rezone an
area from R2 to R1.
