Specific Area Plans In Progress
Wolftever Area Plan
The Wolftever Creek Basin Area Study was completed in 1988. Increased
residential development in this area over the past 17 years has created a
need for the land use plan recommendations to be updated. A public input
meeting was conducted on June 1, 2006 with about 250 people attending. The
RPA staff is developing a plan update that will include various options
for future development and growth. The plan will be completed by winter
2007.
Eastdale Plan Update
The current Eastdale Neighborhood Plan was completed and adopted in 1998.
The RPA is currently working on an update of the Plan that should be
complete this year. Public neighborhood meetings will be held in summer
2006 to gather comments from stakeholders within the community. A Plan
Assessment hand-out should be completed by winter 2007.
North Shore Plan Update
The process to development a new plan for the North Shore district kicked
off in 2005 with a well-attended public meeting. Community participants
called for an extension of the C-7 Zoning district and review process,
expanded shuttle service, streetscape improvements along Manufacturers,
North Market and Cherokee, natural riverbank stabilization, new parking
structures to accommodate future development, and preservation of the
urban character of existing and new commercial development. The plan
should be ready for adoption by winter 2007.
